Lake Charles, La. - The Mississippi Valley State Diamond Devils fell behind early and couldn't make a comeback in a 7-2 loss on Tuesday evening at the Joe Miller Ballpark.
Isaiah Valenzuela took the loss for MVSU. The right-hander surrendered three runs on four hits over four innings, striking out one.
Maury Weaver, Ty Washington, Davon Mims, and Victor Figueroa each collected one hit.Â
"We played a better game today," said head coach Milton Barney. "There's still some miscues on the offensive end, but it's good to see the guys in good spirit and fighting."
