JACKSON, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State University Devilettes fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 16-3 loss to Jackson State on Saturday afternoon.
The Devilettes struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Jackson State, giving up 16 runs.
Jackson State opened up scoring in the first inning when Marissa Medina's sac fly scored one run for Jackson State.
Gleenabah Tsosie was in the pitcher's circle for the Devilettes. The righty allowed six hits and nine runs over two innings. Morgan Gutierrez threw two innings out of the bullpen.
Aulora Edwards went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead MVSU in hits.

The Devilettes will face the Lady Tigers in a doubleheader game on Sunday, March 19. The first pitch is set for noon, and the second game is set to begin approximately 30 minutes after.
