                     ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State Diamond Devils prepares to host Jackson State Tigers in a conference weekend series, from Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 2, at Magnolia Field. 
The first pitch for Friday is set for 2:00 p.m.
As a team, the Diamond Devils are currently ranked in numerous categories in the league: stolen bases (1st)/nationally (2nd), stolen bases per outing (1st)/nationally (1st), sacrifice bunts (3rd)/nationally (24th), batting average (6th), hits (6th), home runs (6th), and runs (7th). 
Individual Diamond Devils are also ranked in the league and nationally. 
Davon Mims leads the SWAC and the nation in stolen bases, with 25 total stolen bases. Narvin Booker follows, being nationally ranked 2nd in stolen bases while ranked 4th in the league, with 20 total stolen bases. Maury Weaver joins fellow Diamond Devils in stolen bases, as he is ranked 8th in the league and 57th nationally, with 12 total stolen bases. 
Hunter Stallings is currently ranked 4th in the league in victories, with three total victories. 
Booker is currently ranked 5th in the league and 62nd nationally in on-base percentage (0.506). 
Davione Hull, Mims, and Weaver are currently tied in the league (8th) and nationally (99th) in sacrifice bunts, with a three total.
Hull is also ranked in the SWAC (5th) and nationally (75th) in triples (2). 
Jose Salazar-Ortega is currently ranked 9th in the league in saves (1).
