Baseball Wins 7-3 over Jackson State

JACKSON, Miss. -  Ty Washington went 2-for-3 with a solo home-run and an RBI for Mississippi Valley State University in a 7-3 win to the Jackson State University Tigers on Sunday afternoon at Braddy Field.

Starting pitcher Jesus Campa earned the win for MVSU. Campa surrendered five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking two.

Dylan Whitfield threw one inning of no-run ball for MVSU in relief.

GAME NOTES
  • Mississippi Valley State was led offensively by senior Ty Washington, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and an RBI.
  • Jesus Campa led the Delta Devils pitching staff, throwing seven innings of no-run ball.
