ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University athletics program recognizes women's softball's Aulora Edwards and men's baseball's Dreylin Holmes as the MVSU student-athletes of the week.
 
Each week, MVSU Office of Athletic Communications recognizes two student-athletes. This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of MVSU.
 
Edwards shined in Mississippi Valley State's weekend of competition against Alabama State University. Edwards, an Oxford, Georgia native went 5-7 with, five singles, and one RBI. Edwards scored one run in the series.
 
Holmes was an offensive spark in Mississippi Valley State's weekend of competition against Florida A&M University. Holmes, a Griffin, Georgia native went 7-10 with six singles, one homerun, two RBIs, and two stolen bases. Holmes scored two runs in the series.

Women's Softball: 
The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes will host Florida A&M University for a three-game series starting on Thursday April 18, 2024. Game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Men's Baseball:
The Mississippi Valley State Diamond Devils will travel to Bethune-Cookman University for a three-game series starting on Friday April 19, 2024. Game is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
