ITTA BENA, MS - The Diamond Devil's Ty Washington was selected to compete in the 2024 Minority Baseball Prospects (MBP) HBCU All-Star Game at the University of Houston on Saturday, June 1. 

Minority Baseball Prospects' mission is to promote the game of baseball worldwide by providing unique developmental event platforms. MBP offers impactful opportunities generating key information to all minority prospects, families, Major League Baseball organizations, college coaches, and fans.

The MBP HBCU All-Star Game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CST. 

Washington, a graduate student from Adkins, Texas is a catcher for the Delta Devils and has started 39 games this season. Washington is ranked 10th in batting average (.363) in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Additionally, he has tallied 48 hits, and 27 runs while registering 24 RBI, one homerun, and 18 walks for the 2024 season. Washington has also collected 139 pickoffs.
