HOUSTON, Texas – The Mississippi Valley State University volleyball program nearly pulled out its first set victory of the conference season Sunday afternoon in H-Town, but a run of four unanswered by Texas Southern to end the match sealed a Tigers sweep.

  • Neither Carrington Archer nor Leticia Franco scored a point, but that is not in their job descriptions as they each went for double-digit assist totals (12, 4.00 p/s and 10, 3.33 p/s), respectively, whereas Franco added a half-dozen digs.
 
  • Brooklyn Brunt tied Rhodes regarding the club's offensive leader at six kills (2.00 p/s) and Taylor Wooten was the other to provide a solid swing by posting five kills via a 0.308 hitting percentage.
