THIBODAUX, La. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program got a career night from its Sophomore guard, but it was not enough to overcome the homestanding Colonels of Nicholls in a 73-66, tightly-contested ballgame.

Devilettes' Top Performers:
- Jaeda Murphy was a jack-of-all-trades, scoring nine points, swiping two steals, and logging career-highs in assists (8) plus rebounds (7).
- Murphy was not the only one to set a personal benchmark as Janiya Jones splashed five three-pointers on ten attempts (50%) to tie for the game's most points (15).
- Ariel Jefferson was the other leading scorer at 15 as well as a contest-best three steals defensively.
- Poetrie Dace was the Devilettes' rebounding queen, clocking in with just under double figures at nine boards in addition to six points over 18 coming off the bench.
