MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball program turned the ball over a season-low nine times and made all 14 of their attempts from the free throw line for the second time in non-conference play as they dropped its pre-Christmas meeting with the WVU Mountaineers, 86-51.

  • Michael James battled through a bloody nose early in the first half to front the Green and White with 14 points and still managed to spend all but four minutes on the hardwood.
 
  • Delkedric Holmes played defense with heart and hustle, forcing a trio of Mountaineers turnovers in addition to a half-dozen points on the scoreboard.
 
  • Mussa Mzein was the singular student-athlete representing the men from Itta Bena with multiple assists (2) and was one of two players to register a blocked shot alongside Sams.
