MONROE, La. – The Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball program saw its scoring luck flipped on its head after dropping 84 on Texas A&M, engaging the Warhawks in a more defensive-minded affair, only for ULM to earn a 66-52 decision on Wednesday.

- Daniel Mayfiekd led the offense with 15 points, nearly topped the Devils on the glass (6), and logged a season/team-most three assists.
- Patrick Punch cobbled together eight points on top of a season-most three steals on defense and tied with both Mayfield as well as Delkedric Holmes for that assist title (3).
- Samuel Murray was the best rebounder at seven to go along with sinking a season-high five baskets on ten shots (50%).
- The omnipresent scoring threat Michael James was held relatively in check coming off being named SWAC Newcomer of the Week for the second time earlier in the day but still managed to hit double-digits for the ninth game-in-a-row with ten.
