ITTA BENA, Miss. – Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) Athletics is proud to announce that our 2025 football clash with Florida A&M University (FAMU), originally scheduled to be played at Rice–Totten Stadium in Itta Bena will now take place at Atlanta's iconic Mercedes‑Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA) on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
This significant move comes in the wake of last season's dramatic showdown at Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee, where the Delta Devils triumphed over the Rattlers by a score of 24–21—ending FAMU's historic 23‑game home winning streak.
The 2024 upset was fueled by dynamic performances from quarterback Ty'Jarian Williams (251 passing yards, two touchdowns) and receiver Nathan Rembert (130 receiving yards, 60-yard score), while the Delta Devils' takeover defense forced three crucial fumbles.
In addition, this season marks a new era for MVSU football, as Terrell Buckley takes the helm as head coach following his appointment on January 21, 2025. Buckley brings a renewed energy and vision for the program as they prepare to build upon last year's momentum.
