Delta Devils' Top Performers:
- Marko Jovisic provided the Devils' lone points of the game for the second straight week, but it was a beauty, splitting the uprights on a career-best 56-yard field goal in the first quarter and while also making his second career tackle on special teams.
- His kicking brethren, Marko Dubak, was marvelous as well, downing a 56-yard rocket of a punt inside SLU's red zone to boost his average to 37.3 for the evening.
- Kobe Byrd was one of four defenders to collect a half-TFL, joining Quavion Pitts, Xavier Cannaday, and Christopher Ramirez, bringing down three ballcarriers and breaking up a would-be completion.
- Norman Taylor did a lot with the few carries he received, turning six rushes into 54 yards (9.0 YPC), nearly double the next highest total on the team, thanks in large part to the longest play from scrimmage for the visitors in which he broke off a 37-yard run.
Next:
- Coach Buckley's men still have all their goals in front of them as a bye week is currently ongoing prior to the beginning of SWACtion on Saturday, September 27 at 4 p.m. against Texas Southern.
- The theme versus the Tigers is "All Roads Lead To Valley" featuring a car and motorcycle show. All fans in attendance are encouraged to Green Out the stadium.
