PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program came to the Houston suburbs for some hoops but got dragged into a free throw shooting contest as the two teams combined for 81 attempts from the charity stripe with the Green and White prevailing, 80-73.

- Desiree Smith might have just had her coming out party, dominating the Panthers with a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double while registering her first multi-block outing.
- Kylah McCullers set season-highs all over the place, 16 points, five field goals, five steals, five rebounds, and five free throws made, all constituting new personal-bests.
- Nairobi Lewis went back-to-back on double-doubles during the Texas Two-Step, collecting ten points and boards apiece over only 25 minutes as a reserve.
- Sydnei Marshall cashed in half of her ten attempts for a season-most 15 points and Janiya Jones was the match's top assister at three, tacking on nine points, four boards and a pair of steals to his ledger.
