ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program withstood a flurry of lead changes, nine in total, and outscored the Wildcats by 11 (23-12) in the final frame to even their conference record (3-3) via a 64-55 triumph.

Bethune-Cookman was the only SWAC team that the Devilettes had not beaten yet.

  • Jaeda Murphy was an underrated stud, posting 11 points, a half-dozen rebounds, and a contest-high five dimes.
