Marshall Swipes Eight Steals Against Hornets

 
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program put on a defensive clinic led by Sydnei Marshall as the junior guard notched eight takeaways on the evening during an 86-70 setback at Alabama State.

  • Jaeda Murphy fronted the Green and White's offense at 14 points with a career-best seven of those coming from the charity stripe.
 
  • Desiree Smith added a blocking element to her repertoire, rejecting a personal-most three shots on top of eight points and four boards over a mere 14 minutes.
