Women Tally Season-High 17 Steals at Alabama A&M

 
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program kept the theme of opportunistic defense intact on Saturday, picking the pocket of Bulldogs players 17 times but Alabama A&M earned the win to split the season series, 95-55.

  • Sydney Thompson posted her best performance of her freshman season so far, tallying season-bests for minutes (20), points (12) and free throws (7) as well as her first career multi-steal affair (2).
 
  • Ja'la Douglas contributed her most points (9), boards (5), and free throws (3) of 2025-26 on top of a career-most three steals.
