Women Earn Emphatic Win Over Prairie View A&M

 
ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program got back on the winning track in a huge way on Thursday evening when the Devilettes pummeled the Panthers for its biggest margin of victory this season by way of a 67-45 blowout versus Prairie View A&M.

  • Kylah McCullers set career-highs for both assists (5) and three-pointers (3) as all of her nine points came from downtown Greenwood.
 
  • Ariel Jefferson got back to filling up the stat sheet, earning her fourth double-double of 2025-26 via a season/game-best 13 rebounds (nine on offense) and a tied for contest-most 13 points as she went 5-for-11 (45.5%) from the floor in only 23 minutes.
 
  • Both Jaeda Murphy (8) and Janiya Jones (7) raised their career standards on the glass as the former also contributed 11 points as well as five dimes and a pair of takeaways.
 
  • Sydnei Marshall was accurate and concise, tying Jefferson for the game's scoring crown at 13 via a personal record five buckets in seven tries (71.4%) as a reserve.
 
  • Sydney Thompson made quick work in her limited action, averaging a point per minute (10 in 10) while Caiside Snapp got in on the scoring fun as she made her lone shot attempt for her fifth and sixth points of the campaign.
