HOUSTON, Texas – The Mississippi Valley State University baseball program clawed back to tie the game at eight in the sixth after falling behind early but Texas Southern reeled off the final eight runs unanswered to win (16-8) an offensive slugfest that featured 33 hits between the Devils and Tigers.

- Cody Leming got a hold of his first home run as a Diamond Devil to knot the score in the sixth with a two-run blast while also driving in a runner on a double down the left field line,giving him six total bases, three ribbies, two runs scored, and a sacrifice bunt.

- Kendall Brookins put together his first four-hit game as a member of the Green and White, rapping out three singles plus a two-bagger as he tied Leming for the team lead at three RBIs.

- The trio of Tanner Aoki, Gabe Huelsing, and Jaxon Haynes all added multi-hit afternoons to their ledgers with the first two knocking home an RBI each, Huelsing stealing the club's lone base, and Haynes upping his on-base streak to nine-in-a-row.

- Chris Soeder personified patience at the plate, drawing a trio of free passes on top of singling, scoring three times in the process in addition to reaching via a hit-by-pitch.
