Three Devils Log Multi-Hit Outings In TSU Finale

 
HOUSTON, Texas – The Mississippi Valley State University baseball program recorded double-digit hits in all three games of the series but were unable to breakthrough into the win column at Texas Southern, losing game three by a 9-3 decision.

  • Tom Early connected for a two-run single and was also hit by a pitch with the other ribbie stemming from Noah Bufford's 2-for-4 affair.
 
  • Tanner Aoki was the third aforementioned player with numerous hits as he poked a pair of singles and crossed the dish once whereas Kendall Brookins worked the squad's only two walks of the afternoon.
 
  • Pitching wise, both Angel Escobar and Gage Deutsch yielding no runs during their one inning of work, each striking out one hitter.

  • After a grueling 21-game road slate that spanned nearly the first full month-and-a-half of the season, the Diamond Devils finally get to play inside the friendly confines of Magnolia Field for its Home Opener at 5 p.m. on Friday opposite Alabama A&M.
