HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University softball program clung to a 10-8 advantage heading into the bottom of the seventh but was unable to hang onto the lead as Alabama A&M snatched a victory from the Diamond Devils, 11-10.

Diamond Devils' Top Performers:
- Madison Bruce was one of two players with a multi-hit game (2-for-4) and a multi-RBI day (2 RBIs), but the lone Diamond Devil to do both, scoring twice as well.
- Jamiyah Gary was the other student-athlete to plate more than one ribbie, doing so on one swing; a two-run double alongside a free pass and a run scored.
- Michelle Diaz picked up a pair of singles including one that drove home a teammate.
- Madison Wesley did not garner a knock but did cross the dish two times via a walk plus a hit-by-pitch.
