Diamond Devils' Top Performers:
Â
- Chris Soeder was a big-time run producer for Coach Bilbrey, driving in half of the team's runs thanks to a two-run double, a sacrifice fly, plus an RBI-groundout.
Â
- Cody Leming continues to stockpile extra-base hits, recording his first career triple at a four year institution, driving in two teammates with the other coming on another sac fly alongside stealing a base.
Â
- Jace Jones pitched well as the last arm out of the pen, hurling 2.2 innings in which he did not give up an earned run (one unearned) while registering five of his eight strikeouts via the K (62.5%).
Â
- Tanner Aoki as well as Tom Early both had nearly identical lines: two runs scored, a single, and a walk apiece; the only difference would be Aoki also getting on-base via a hit-by-pitch too.
Â
- Logan Darnell got the nod to start on the hill, tossing three frames of two-run baseball (only one earned) plus a pair of punchouts.
