MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University baseball program came one swing away from erasing a five-run, ninth inning deficit, scoring three times and bringing the go-ahead run to the plate before running out of steam as Alabama State eked out an 11-9 decision.

- Cody Leming contributed two hits including a two-bagger plus a pair of ribbies and a free pass whereas Chris Soeder brought home two teammates via a run-scoring double and a sac fly.
- Camden Farmer logged a perfect 1-2-3 sixth frame with a whiff thrown into the fray and Angel Escobar also tallied a clean inning (eighth) plus a K.
