ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University baseball program chased Southern's starter from the game after just five outs by putting a five-spot on him in the second and led for most of the day, but ten runs over the final three innings for the Jaguars spoiled the afternoon for Coach Bilbrey as the Green and White fell, 12-8.

- Stephen Landaz went 1-for-2 with three RBIs, was hit by a pair of pitches, walked once, and his lone hit went for two bases.

- Tanner Aoki reached safely thrice, coaxing two free passes and scoring the same amount of times, swiped two bases, and singled.

- Eric Williams drew ball four twice, one of which with the bases loaded to manufacture a ribbie, Cody Leming crossed the plate two times after singling as well as walking, and Isreal Ramos laced the other extra-base knock of the day, doubling home a teammate.
