THE DELTA | Mississippi Valley State University freshman Colton Harris has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Cross Country Newcomer of the Week following his performance at the Legacy Series Invite.

The Waynesboro, Mississippi, native placed 21st overall with a time of 20:48.7, helping the Delta Devils secure a fourth-place team finish. The recognition marks Harris's first weekly conference honor of the season.

Harris will look to build on his award-winning performance as he turns his attention to the Belhaven Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, in Clinton, Mississippi.
