Connor Sheppeard is in his second season as a graduate assistant baseball coach at Mississippi Valley State University. Before coming back as a graduate assistant, he played his collegiate ball at MVSU from 2013-2017. Sheppeard serves as the pitching coach and also helps supervise student-athletes study hall.
A Greenville, Mississippi native, Sheppeard graduated from Riverside High School as a four-time district pitcher of the year, two-time State Games of MS attendee, MAC All-Star, and helped Riverside to 130 wins through six years. Originally committed to play at Mississippi Delta Community College, Sheppeard would shortly commit to play baseball at MVSU in 2013. Sheppeard went on to start all four years and pitch many important innings for the Delta Devils. He was a four-time SWAC all-academic team member.
Sheppeard graduated from MVSU in the spring of 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and will graduate May 2019 with a Masters in Business Administration.
