Frank L. Sutton Jr. serves as the Offensive Line Coach at Mississippi Valley State University. A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Sutton brings a strong combination of collegiate and professional playing experience to The Valley. During his playing career at the University of Louisiana Monroe, he earned All-Sun Belt honors before continuing his career professionally with the New York Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Prior to joining MVSU, Sutton served on the coaching staff at Clark Atlanta University, where he helped develop two All-SIAC offensive linemen, a CFL signee, and a 2025 HBCU True Freshman All-American. During his tenure, the Panthers featured one of the SIAC’s most productive offensive units, leading the conference in passing offense, ranking second in total offense and red zone offense, and finishing among the league’s top scoring offenses.
Sutton’s coaching career also includes stops at Callaway High School, Forest Hill High School, and Kirksey Middle School.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana Monroe, a Master of Education from Jackson State University, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
