Grant Simms enters his 2nd year at MVSU. Coach Simms was promoted to Pass Game Coordinator and WR/TE Coach after serving as an Offensive Analyst during the 2023 season. Coach Simms help developed Freshman All-American TE (Jaxson Davis) during his first year working with the Tight Ends.
Coach Simms was very successful at the high school level before joining the MVSU staff in 2023. While coaching at Leflore County High School, Coach Simms led the Tigers to their first state championship appearance in school history.
Coach Grant Simms played at MVSU from 2013-2017, where he spent time at Quarterback and Wide Receiver.
