Randall Moore began working at Mississippi Valley State University as the Student-Athlete Health and Wellness Coordinator in February 2018.
He is responsible for the strength and conditioning, and student-athlete health and wellness development of all 15 varsity sports programs, while directly overseeing the development of: football, and men's and women's basketball. He is also responsible for the student-athlete health and wellness to include healthy living, nutrition, strength, speed and agility programming.
Moore also monitors and directs team and individual workouts for the athletic teams, while providing instructions to individuals and teams on proper: Olympic & weight lifting, conditioning methods and techniques; motivating student-athletes to train, condition and perform to their highest potentials, multi-joint sport movements to enhance power, speed and flexibility.
Prior to joining the MVSU staff, Moore served as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. While there, he was responsible for the strength and conditioning development of all 21 sports teams. He directly oversaw the development of: football, women's volleyball, track and field, women's soccer, men and women's basketball, men's lacrosse and softball. He supervised two graduate assistants along with other duties.
Moore competed in track and field while enrolled at Oakland University (Rochester Hills, Michigan). In 2009 he broke the Oakland University men's track and field 4X100 meter relay record. He also competed as a sprinter in the 60m dash, 100m dash and 200m dash.
Moore has picked up an abundance of experience since graduating from Oakland University with a Bachelor's of Science in Health Science and an Exercise Science concentration in December 2011.
