Sean Washington is entering his 6th season coaching and his second season with the Delta Devils.

Washington is a native of New Smyrna Beach, FL where he spent time at both New Smyrna Beach HS and Port Orange Atlantic HS as both a player and coach. In 2009 while at Atlantic HS, Washington earned a spot on the All State team as an honorable mention QB for class 3A. He would go on to attend Defiance College, a Division 3 school in Ohio where he majored in Criminal Justice and psychology.  He would eventually move to receiver and lead the conference in kick return average at 23.4 per return.

At the conclusion of his playing career Washington would return home and become the WR coach at New Smyrna Beach HS. In 3 years as an assistant he would serve as the Head Coach for the Junior Varsity team while landing 3 Wide Receivers in 3 years on the All District team for the Varsity team.

In 2018 Washington would become the Quarterback Coach and Special Teams Coordinator at Port Orange Atlantic where they would turn in their first winning season in 6 years and post more wins than the previous 3 years combined. The following year in 2019 Washington would become the Defensive coordinator/Linebackers Coach where the defense would post 25 takeaways (School record) and give up 12.4 ppg. Atlantic would go on to post back to back winning seasons for the second time in school history, the second playoff victory in school history and tie the school record for wins in a season.

In December of 2019, Washington would then be hired as the youngest Head Coach in the state of Florida by Pine Ridge HS, serving a short stint before coming to MVSU.
