Caleb Brunson, a native of Laurel Mississippi, and an honors graduate of Laurel High School joins the Delta Devils Coaching Staff as a Graduate Assistant in 2023 after finishing his playing career at MVSU.

Caleb played four seasons with the Delta Devils dating back to 2018.Â

The Defensive back earned First Team All-SWAC Honors in the Spring 21 Season and 1st Team Preseason All-SWAC Selection in Fall 21. Brunson also made the Black College Football Player of The Year Watch List. Heading into the Fall of 2022, Brunson was named to the Cspire Conerly Trophy Watch List, as well as Second Team All-SWAC Preseason Honors, and also was named to Phill Stelle Preseason All-SWAC Third Team. Brunson finished his playing career with 96 total tackles, ten pass breakups, five interceptions, one TFL, and one FF.
