Tony Rosser

Tony Rosser is entering his first season at Mississippi Valley State University serving as Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach.

Rosser comes to MVSU after two seasons at Jackson State University. While at JSU, he coached the 2018 Women’s Discus SWAC Champion and in 2017, the women’s throws scored all the points for JSU at the SWAC Championship.

Before working at Jackson State, Rosser was defensive coordinator for the Chattahoochee Tech Football team along with coaching the jumpers and throwers for Eagles Track & Field teams. 

As a student athlete, Rosser committed to Florida State University out of high school but chose Jones Junior College in Mississippi.

Rosser attended Marietta High School in Marietta, Georgia where he was named All-State Defensive End for the Devils football team from the 1993-1994 seasons and an All-American for the 1993-1994 season.

Rosser was also a standout on the Devil’s Track & Field team where he earned the Regional and State Championships in the Discus and Shotput events.

A native of Marietta, Georgia; Rosser earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Life University.
