Brithney Scott

Brithney Scott is entering her second year as the graduate assistant for the Mississippi Valley State University volleyball program.

Scott, a native of Negril, Westmoreland, Jamaica, attended Manning’s School. After her graduation she enrolled in G. C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sport. She has a CXE Certificate in Business Studies (August 209), CAPE Advance Proficiency Diploma (August 2011) and a bachelor’s in education (October 2016). Scott is currently enrolled at Mississippi Valley State University in the Masters of Sport Administration program. She began her matriculation in 2016.

Scott earned 200 hours of voluntary service as a Female Dorm Manager Assistant, a service she provided from 2015-2016. During the Spring of 2017, Scott served as a volunteer consultant to compile data on Magic Johnson’s media and social media Touchpoints, studying the time of 1991-2016. This job was completed under the Magic Johnson Enterprise and Magic Johnson Foundation.

As the graduate assistant, Scott has coaching duties as well keeping the head coach updated on the daily activities. She supervises athletes, scheduling and recruiting, overseeing study hall sessions, implementing and enhancing individual skill development, enforces discipline and team cohesiveness and assist students with maintaining academic standards.
