ITTA BENA -- The Mississippi Valley State men's cross country team won its second consecutive meet on Saturday at the Watson Ford Invitational at Choctaw Trails.

MVSU finished first amongst the three Division-I teams with an average time of 28:12.54 in the 8k run.

Valley claimed the top three spots with Daniel Kibet taking first place with a time of 26:38.33 while Victor Kiplaget (26:45.94) and Jose Serrano (26:57.94) claimed the second and third spot, respectively.

Other MVSU runners included Juan Perez (7th, 29:08.92), Vetch Sang (12th, 31:31.56) and Earl Winters (32:49.04).
