BATON ROUGE, La. -- Following a nine-day break, the Mississippi Valley State men's basketball team will return to the court Saturday when they travel to LSU.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The game will be broadcast on the affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network (Eagle 98.1 FM in Baton Rouge) and in the GeauxZone at LSUsports.net. The game will also be regionally televised by Cox Sports TV.
MVSU (0-3) is coming off a 81-68 loss at Northwestern State when the Delta Devils got a career-high 35 points from junior guard Davon Usher.
Meanwhile, LSU is coming off a 102-95 win over Northwestern State. Four LSU players average double-figures with Shavon Coleman leading the way with 17 points and seven rebounds per game. Cleveland, Miss. natvie Johnny O'Bryant III is averaging 13 points and seven boards per game.
MVSU head coach Chico Potts is a former letterwinner for the Tigers. The Indianola native played in 26 games for LSU before transferring to Delta State and becoming an Honorable Mention All-American.
