GRAMBLING, La. -- The Mississippi Valley State women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss Thursday night at Grambling State.
The Lady Tigers won the first set 25-19 before Valley tied the game with a 25-20 win in the second set. However, GSU claimed the third and fourth set, 25-19 and 25-14, respectively.
Cynthia Richardson paced the Devilettes with six kills while Royce Higgins added four of her own. Liyah Davis contributed 12 assists for the Devilettes and Halle Gayten was very active defensively with eight digs.
MVSU will be off until Nov. 4 when they travel to Alcorn State. That game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. in Lorman.
