ITTA BENA, Miss. --- The Mississippi Valley State University Devilettes dropped a devastating 3-0 loss to the Blossoms of the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
 
Halley Gayten paced Mississippi Valley with nine kills, while Marissa Chalmers and Ilaisha Hale added seven and six respectively. Cynthia Richardson led the team in blocks with two, Hale and Chalmers recorded one block each. Brooklyn Hudson was on fire with 18 assists, while Hale and Halle Gayten each tallied one. Chalmers led the Devilettes with nine digs, while Gayten tallied seven and Hudson wrapped with six.

The set scores were 25-20, 25-11 and 25-16.

The Mississippi Valley State volleyball team will travel to Alcorn State, Mississippi, to face Alcorn State University on Friday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m.
