ALCORN STATE, Miss. --- The Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State University lost a tough road contest to the Lady Braves of Alcorn State University 3-2 (25-20, 29-27, 25-16, 25-12, 15-7).
 
Mississippi Valley was on fire in the kills' category; with Cynthia Richardson having an impressive contest. Richardson tallied 10 to lead the team. Marissa Chalmers and Kalin Barnes added seven each.  Three Devilettes earned one service ace: Halle Gayten, Tiara Wilkens and Richardson.
 
Ilaisha Hale paced MVSU with five blocks; while Richardson and Gayten tallied three and two respectively. Brooklyn Hudson was everywhere, tallying 29 assists for the contest. Gayten and Wilkens recorded one each.
 
Wilkens, Gayten and Barnes were far from finished, racking up 15 and 12 digs respectively.
