Durham, N.C. - The Delta Devils men's basketball team dropped a close 86-79, contest to the Eagles of North Carolina Central.
Marcus Romain and Damian Young started the game on fire, as they paced the Delta Devils to a 23-9 lead midway through the first half.
The second half was spirited in play, as both teams came out and gave a show, with seven lead changes in the first five minutes.
With the score tied at 58 with 11 minutes to go in the game the Delta Devils' defense was unlocked, giving up multiple points behind the arc and in the paint.
Young and Romain led the Delta Devils with 25 and 22 points respectively. For the game the Delta Devils shot 50% from behind the arc and 83% from the free throw line.
Currently the Delta Devils are en route to Seattle, Washington for a contest against Seattle University this Sunday at 7:00 pm.
