Halle Gayten led MVSU with seven kills, while Ilaisha Hale added six. Gayten also recorded the Devilettes solo-serving ace. Miranda Tapia tallied 13 assists, while Kalin Barnes and Hale added two each. Barnes tallied 10; Tapia and Chalmers contributed two, in the dig category.

The Devilettes finished with 26 kills, 13 errors and 67 total attacks. The score per set breaks down to: 25-17, 25-17 and 26-24.

Mississippi Valley will return home to host the Lady Tigers of Grambling State University on October 1 at 7:00 p.m.
