STARKVILLE, Miss. --- The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes dropped a 3-0 decision to the Lady Mocs of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the Maroon Classic in Starkville, Miss.

Marissa Chalmers paced MVSU with five kills, while Halle Gayten and Cynthia Richardson added four each. Gayten led the team with two aces and Chalmers tallied one to assist the Devilettes in their sets. Miranda Tapia had an excellent contest with 14 assists.

The Devilettes finished with 19 kills, 14 errors and 77 total attacks. The score per set breaks down to: 25-4, 25-17 and 25-14.

MVSU takes on hosting Mississippi State at 1:00 p.m. and Stetson at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Live stats will be available for both matches, while the match against Mississippi State, video will be provided.
