PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Devilettes of Mississippi Valley dropped a tough conference contest to the Lady Panthers of Prairie View A & M 3-0 in Prairie View, Texas. The set breakdown follows: 25-14, 25-18 and 25-14.

Despite dropping the contest in three straight sets, Mississippi Valley pressed their offensive strategy and pushed Prairie View to the ropes.

Kalin Barnes recorded eight kills, Illiya Trahan tallied six and Marissa Chalmers chipped in four. Barnes served as the only Devilette to record an ace. Brianna Watkins tallied two blocks while Jones and Trahan each recorded one.

Jaime Polk handled the ball well with 16 assists. Sydney Robinson put up eight digs.
