FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Delta Devils traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana, searching for their first win of the season, however they fell slightly short of their goal. The contest ended 79-54 in favor of Fort Wayne.

The Delta Devils fell behind early, giving the advantage in the opening half to the Mastodons, 37-23. FW started the scoring quickly on a layup by John Konchar, however Kylan Phillips responded with a jumper, after Darrell Riley found him in scoring position. A defensive rebound by Michael Matlock gave MVSU the possession. A pass from Matlock to Phillips and Phillips to Given resulted in a devastating Delta Devils three-pointer, for a two-point advantage. A run by the Mastodons closed out the half.
