FAYETTEVILE, Ark. - The Mississippi Valley State University baseball team was steamrolled in their second contest against the University of Arkansas Razorbacks 20-0.
Arkansas was able to start scoring early, landing two runs in the first. They were also able to score two more in the second. Going scoreless in the third, the Razorbacks bounced back with three runs in the fourth, four in the fifth, two in the sixth and seven in the eighth to wrap up all scoring.
Mississippi Valley tallied four hits and six errors in the contest. Arkansas finished with 15 hits and no errors.
Arrington Smith took the loss for Mississippi Valley on the mound, dropping to 0-1 on the season.
The entire contest took 2:32 minutes.
