JACKSON, Miss… As the 2016 regular season winds down the Delta Devils are beginning preparations for a deep run in the SWAC Tournament. While the defensive efforts are improving with Coach Payne's "Get Em" Man Defense shooting woes continue to hamper the Delta Devils.

In a 60-49 loss to Jackson State Saturday the Delta Devils shot 26% from the field, 31% from behind the arc and a modest 63% from the charity stripe.

Marcus Romaine paced the Delta Devils offense scoring 29 points converting on all three of his attempts behind the arc while playing 35 minutes.  Memphis, Tennessee, native Vacha Vaughn dominated the defensive glass ripping down 11 defensive rebounds in 26 minutes played.

Preparations for the 2016 SWAC Tournament continue as the Delta Devils travel to Grambling, Louisiana, Monday February 29 to face the Tigers of Grambling State University.
