GREENWOOD, Miss. – The Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley State University defeated the Bulldogs of Alabama A & M University 66-64 to improve in conference play.
 
Both teams fought to gain control of the contest, in the first half AAMU was able to take a marginal 32- 31 lead into the locker room at halftime. Isaac Williams was able to pace the Delta Devils with 12 points in the first.
 
The second half was merely a continuation of the first. The Bulldogs scored another 32 points to finish the game scoring the exact same amount of points in each half, but the blazing Delta Devils burned their way to 35 points to take the contest.

At the buzzer, Marcus Romain's rebound notched another double double for the New York native, as he finished the night with 25 points, ten rebounds and five assists. Latrell Love and Williams finished with 13 points each.
 
As a team, MVSU tallied 34 rebounds (13 offensive, 21 defensive), 13 assists and 15 turnovers.

Mississippi Valley travels to Lorman, Mississippi, to take on the Braves of Alcorn State University on February 13. Tipoff is set for 5:30 pm.
