Baseball: MVSU Concedes Contest 10-6 to Alabama A & M

HUNTSVILLE – The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils dropped a 10-6 decision to the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama.
 
The Bulldogs began scoring in the first with two. The Delta Devils returned to the batter's box in the top of the second, scoring one run in during the inning. Caleb Lindsey sent a long ball over the left field wall.
 
Mississippi Valley tied the contest in the top of the fourth when Quitman Smith reached on an error to score Lindsey.

AAMU scored two in the fourth, one in the fifth and three in the sixth before going scoreless in the seventh. MVSU exploded with four in the eighth to make a dent in the Bulldog's lead. Smith singled to left field to score Alex Bravo. Fredrick Spencer singled to center field to bring in Lindsey and Chris McWright.Marshall Parrish struck out swinging, however Smith scored on the play. Alabama A & M scored two in the bottom of the eighth to wrap scoring for the contest.

The two teams will meet again for three additional contests this weekend.
