HUNTSVILLE – On a sunny 75 degree Sunday afternoon, the Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley dropped a tough 17-4 contest to the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M.
AAMU scored twice in the first inning. MVSU scored one run in the second. Fredrick Spencer stole second and Chris McWright scored. The Bulldogs scored an additional two in the second and six in the third. The fourth was scoreless for both teams. Alabama A & M scored one in the fifth and six in the sixth.
MVSU scored their final three runs in the sixth. Marcus Jones singled to left field and scored McWright. A double by Caleb Lindsey earned two RBIs as Spencer and Marshall Parrish scored.
The Bulldogs finished with six runs in the sixth and the contest ended in the seventh inning.
The Delta Devils will be back in action on April 20 when they travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas, to face the Red Wolves of Arkansas State University. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
