ITTA BENA, Miss. - The Devilettes hosted the University of Arkansas at Monticello, dropping the contest 3-0. The set scores were 25-19, 25-19 and 27-25.
With several great rallies, the sets could have gone either way, however UAM found a way to edge MVSU from the contest. The final set was a nail biter, with the score being pushed beyond the typical ending, as neither team was willing to succumb. The Devilettes were able to cling to their lead before Arkansas- Monticello bypassed them to take the set and the match.
The Devilettes recorded 31 kills on 123 total attacks, 51 digs and 29 assists.
Kalin Barnes was two digs shy of a double-double, as she recorded 11 kills, eight digs, one block and one assist. Taylor Selfridge tallied eight kills and seven digs. Jaime Polk racked up 26 assists, two blocks and one assist.
