ITTA BENA – (Men's Basketball) The Mississippi Valley State University Delta Devils clinched a ten-point victory in their first of two exhibitions, over the Bulldogs of Tougaloo College, 86-76.

The opening half was a vicious back-and-forth by both teams, however, Mississippi Valley was able to take a three-point lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Delta Devils outpaced the Bulldogs 51-44 in the second half. With a full-court pressure and rebounding, to prevent second chance baskets, Mississippi Valley blazed in their first battle of the season.

Jamal Watson, standing at 6-10, dominated the court with a devastating double-double. He pulled down 17-rebounds while scoring 16-points. Watson also added five assists and four blocks. Newcomer, Jordan Evans added 15-points and four rebounds.
