ITTA BENA, Miss. – (Baseball) Mississippi Valley's baseball team started the season with an exhausting four-game home series against the North Dakota State University Bisons.
Showing the depth and ability of their bullpen, MVSU was able to push NDSU to their limits. In the final game, the Delta Devils were able to pull together an excellent rally, after being down 4-0.
MVSU's run in the third was the start of a brilliant stretch. The Delta Devils allowed two in the fourth and score one of their own. In the seventh, two runs by MVSU closed the gap on the run deficit.
NDSU scored one additional run in the eighth.
Kyle Colston received the for MVSU on the mound, as the Delta Devils succumbed 7-4.
